We are looking for a Production Accountant to join us on a part-time basis in the exciting work we do at Green Impact Partners. Reporting to the Controller, the Production Accountant will complete full-cycle production and revenue accounting and regulatory reporting for the Company’s commodities marketing business and be responsible for ongoing inventory accounting and reconciliation. In this newly created role, the Production Accountant will be part of the Finance and Accounting team, and will work closely with the Marketing team. We are looking for a driven, self-starter with a sharp attention to detail.  Experience working with Petrinex is an asset.

Accountabilities and Key Functions

  • Complete full-cycle production and revenue accounting for facility operations as part of GIP’s water recycling business located in Alberta and Saskatchewan
  • Complete facility and pipeline inventory accounting and reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit compliant pipeline and facility regulatory applications to the applicable organization in a timely manner
  • Request clarifications from regulatory agency staff for interpretations, guidance or any other assistance
  • Develop and manage effective processes to manage and close regulatory obligations, deficiencies and non-compliance
  • Organize Green Impact Partners regulatory and environmental library in areas such as government correspondence, industry standards and practices
  • Remain current with oil and gas legislation, environmental regulations, public expectations and regulatory requirements
  • Manage GIP’s Enhanced Production Audit Program (“EPAP”)
  • Detailed monthly review, accruals and reconciliation
  • Calculating truck transportation costs and verifying tickets
  • Build processes and procedures for the tracking of gas production from GIP’s greenfield renewable natural gas projects
  • Gain understanding of production reporting requirements in various jurisdictions outside of Canada
  • Generate and analyze reports for various stakeholders
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties and special projects as required

Education

  • Business related undergraduate degree

Experience

  • Three to five years recent experience in a similar role either at a company
  • Well-versed in the use of Petrinex
  • Experience in a midstream company would be considered an asset
